The Elder Dental Program holds at least 2 free screening clinics per year. Clinics are free and open to anyone age 60 and over. At the free screening clinics, dentists examine patients for problems with their teeth, gums, and dentures. Participants will be screened for oral cancer and are able meet with dental hygienists and dental hygiene students to talk about oral health concerns. A nutritionist will talk with participants about nutrition and oral health and will give advice to those with chewing problems, dry mouth, medication interactions and other concerns.
