Description: Moving to adoption of interoperable, certified EHR technology is required as a matter of law under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for the full continuum of health care providers. This Meaningful Use transformation has been challenging for many eligible professionals (EPs), but none more than the dentist. While the law has fully embraced oral health, policymakers have lagged in incorporating oral health into the task at hand. This session is a must for health leaders seeking to bridge the gap between Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements and the reality of moving dentists into compliance. Adele will discuss the process of evaluating whether your dental practice meets the exclusion criteria for each applicable measure. Join her as she reviews the clinical quality measure reporting process, considerations in integrating electronic dental records (EDRs) with certified EHR technology (CEHRT) and the challenges to success for the dental practitioner.

Target Audience: Hospital Administrator, Clinical Director/Manager, Executive Director, Fiscal Officer, Health Educator, Information Systems/Tech, Medical Director, Nurse, PCA/PCO, Physician, Physician Assistant, Clinical Operations
